I'd sue them for denying me my civil liberties. This one is so outrageous that I can't believe it's true.
I must really be in the dark. I see a couple and I figure they're in LOVE. I see a married couple and I figure they've made a COMMITMENT to EACH OTHER. I see parents both spending time with their children and I think they're PRETTY DAMNED LUCKY to have survived marriage this long, to be able to spend time together with their children. NEVER has it occurred to me that the union could be detrimental to the financial well being of some group based on race, color or creed. Is this way of thinking reserved for crazy white folks, or do some black people worry about losing the "financial and social resources" of "their" community?
(And for Justice Bardwell...yeah...I'm talkin' to you.) COME ON! What couple DOESN'T experience their challenges? And with folks like YOU around, Bardwell, what prayer do these families and their children to live stress-free (is that even possible?!) life? Do you really have to add to the stress with your prejudices?!

this guy is full of it, like really. how can you tell two grown adults that they can't get married?! what if the wife had been west indian and the husband had been african american; b/c while "they" might look alike, there are some cultural differences...
or what if the husband were white and the wife was albino; would he allow them to get married then?
